1/4" x 16" x 18" SHOCKWAVE™ Impact Duty Carbide Bellhanger Multi-Material Bit

The Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE™ 48-20-8860 Carbide Bellhanger Multi-Material Bit (1/4" x 16" x 18") is a long-reach, impact-rated installer bit designed for through-wall drilling and wire pulling applications in electrical, low-voltage, and communications work.

Unlike standard masonry bits, this is a multi-material carbide bellhanger bit, meaning it’s built to drill through a wide range of materials including wood, metal, PVC, drywall, brick, block, and light concrete without frequent bit changes.

It features a carbide multi-grind cutting tip that improves durability and cutting speed in stacked materials, while the long 18-inch overall length with 16-inch usable flute length allows installers to drill completely through walls, ceilings, and framing cavities.

A key feature is the pull-through hole in the tip, which allows electricians and installers to attach and pull wire back through the drilled hole—making it especially useful for security, data, phone, and cable installations.

The 1/4" hex shank is designed for use with impact drivers, drill/drivers, and hammer drills, giving it broad compatibility on job sites.
