The AprilAire 2216 Whole-House Media Air Cleaner is designed to remove contaminants from the air. These contaminants include asthma and allergy triggers like mold spores, pet dander, dust mites, bacteria, pollen, and even viruses. The media air cleaner should be installed on the return ductwork of an HVAC system. It can be oriented facing any direction with respect to the HVAC system and ductwork. The 2216 Media Air Cleaner is compatible with AprilAire 210 MERV 11, AprilAire 213 MERV 13, and AprilAire 213CBN MERV 13 Carbon Filters that must be changed annually to maintain peak air cleaner performance and HVAC system protection as well as the AprilAire 216 MERV 16 Filter that must be changed every 6 months.
