1/2" NM BUSHING (Product Description)
A 1/2-inch non-metallic (NM) bushing is an insulating plastic bushing used to protect wires or cable from abrasion where they pass through the end of conduit or a fitting. It is commonly pressed onto 1/2" EMT, rigid, IMC, or PVC conduit, depending on the specific bushing style.
Product Description
This fitting provides a smooth insulated edge at the end of a raceway so wire insulation does not get cut or rubbed by sharp conduit or fitting edges during pulling or long-term vibration.
Although many electricians call these “NM bushings” in the field, they are often actually insulating conduit bushings used for conductor protection—not specifically for NM cable. An example common model is Arlington EMT50.
