The Milwaukee 48-89-9209 is a #9 step drill bit, designed for drilling large sheet metal holes in multiple stepped sizes using one bit, especially with cordless drills at high speed.

This is the largest step bit in the Milwaukee 9200-series you’ve been working through, and it’s meant for big conduit, panel, and fabrication openings.

Hole range

This bit has two final step sizes:

• 7/8"
• 1-1/8"

So it is not a full multi-step ladder like smaller step bits—it’s a heavy-duty 2-step large-hole cutter.
