The rails are an easy-to-install frame system that eliminates the pleat spacers and the work involved with filter replacements. The 4894 Rails are a one-time installation that assembles without tools and converts your equipment from the AprilAire 401 MERV 10 Air Filter to a high-performance AprilAire MERV 13 Air Filter. The rails take just 30 seconds to snap together and slides directly into your air purifier. Other compatible filters are the AprilAire 410 MERV 11, AprilAire 413CBN MERV 13+Carbon, and AprilAire 416 MERV 16 (sold separately).
