The T-45NL is designed for temperature control, scald protection and reduction of thermal shock in a domestic plumbing system, and is certified to ASSE 1017, 1069 and 1070. The three-way mixing valve permits the control of water temperature to individual, multiple fixtures, and gang showers. The kit includes three connectors with union nuts, hot and cold inlet connectors with a check valve and one outlet connector without a check valve. Copper sweat connectors do not include the integral check valve. The T-45NL also includes a fork tool which is used to pry the blue cap upward, allowing it to be turned to adjust the mixture of hot and cold water. It is constructed of no lead, forged brass and is chrome plated.
